Another 150 Variant - ETS

This was another one of Mark's ebay purchases. It is an TS 150 I think the old importer Wilf Green organised the restyling with MZ but someone would have to confirm that. Needless to say Mark was chuffed that he found this variant to add to its collection. It has always been in the back of the cellar so I have no idea how easy it would be to get it to run.

I was going to completely change this post but instead please refer to Neil's attached comment. I have struck out the incorrect information. With regard to Wilf Green it was probably another bike I was think of.

  1. This is an ETS 150, predecessor of the TS. Not a common bike and from what Mark told me, apart from the missing side panel, it is more or less complete. Side panel is the same as the TS (and the ES come to that) so should be easy enough to source.

  2. Wilf Green did make a few "special edition" MZs. There was a 250 Trophy Trail that looked a bit like an ISDT, a Special Series of the TS250/1 and TS 150/1 which had non standard paint and leg shields and the Pathfinder, an off-roady TS150 with a different tank, mudguards, sidepanels and and a bigger front wheel. Possibly others too, he was a great salesman!

  3. Although not on this particular machine, in 2002 Mark did an End to End run in memory of his father. This was completed on an ES 150. Have you found JEC730N or did Mark sell/strip down this one?

  4. Mark did sell it. I am not quite sure who to. Some one may know. Not quite sure why he got rid of it and then bought four more MZ 150 variants.
